“After 21 years in the driver’s seat, I won’t be driving full time in 2025. The past two months has been a difficult time, racing has been a huge part of my life for so long. It doesn’t make it easy when you still have the fire in your belly, the red mist in your eyes” said Winterbottom.

After an illustrious career spanning over 21 years, Winterbottom leaves a lasting mark on the sport, celebrated for his remarkable achievements, fan appeal and unwavering dedication.

“I am going to miss driving full time, I am going to miss qualifying, man extracting every millisecond from the machine, but it is time to reflect on everything I have achieved, be proud and hold my head high” said Winterbottom.

From humble beginnings Winterbottom made his Supercars debut in 2003 and quickly established himself as a lead talent.

Frosty became a household name of the 21st century when he won the 2013 Bathurst 1000, further cementing his status as a fan favourite when crowned the 2015 Supercars Champion.

“It blew me away to hear thousands of people chanting Frosty in celebration at the podium, a moment I will never forget. I have always felt that winning The Championship was the ultimate as it tested you over an entire season. These two achievements will always hold a special place in my heart forever.” Said Winterbottom

Known for his tenacity and skill behind the wheel, his consistency and resilience have garnered him a loyal following and respect from peers and fans alike.

His contribution to Supercars has inspired countless young drivers and helped elevate the profile of Australian motorsport.
