Frosty wins race 18 and 19 at Ipswich

The Pepsi Max Crew's Mark Winterbottom has made it four race wins in a row in a stellar day at the Coates Hire Ipswich SuperSprint after taking out race 18 and 19.

The series leader made a fantastic start over teammate Chaz Mostert from second on the grid in race 18, before battling for the front spot with Craig Lowndes in race 19.

Mostert's start was his let down in race 18, falling back to fifth place after a battle with Shane Van Gisbergen.

Stable-mate David Reynolds made an incredible start on his Mostert in race 19, before Chaz took back third spot half way through the soft-tyre race.

"Awesome day. Yesterday I really struggled so to get on the front row for both races so today was great. To get on the front row, it gives you a fighting chance to get a good start and Chaz had a bad one in race one and I had a really good start and obviously cleared all the carnage that was going on which helped me. In race two, I got a really, really good start. We cleared that second row and it was the first time I've really had a good turn at turn one, I turned the car and it turned in so it was good to do the switch back."

"It was a pretty good day. It was awesome to finish up the last race on the podium. It's good to feel that champagne again and spray the team. The car was pretty good. Frosty probably had the car that we were going to run in the race but in the end we thought we'd try something different but in the end I don't think it was quite as competitive as those cars but it was good to get third. It was a bit of a mixed day. I raced pretty competitive in the first race but it was good to go toe-to-toe with some guys who have done really good in this championship. But, back to the team, it's a credit to Prodrive for giving us competitive cars. Frosty getting four-in-a-row is just a credit to show how experienced and how good a driver he is. I've got a lot to learn but it's good to be his teammate for some years to come."

Tim Edwards – Team Principal
"Today was good. For Mark to get four race wins in a row is just fantastic and is something we haven't seen from him before so we're tracking along nicely. Today showed us what racing can really be like but that's how it goes. It was a great day but we'll still have a look at everything tonight and see what we can improve on."

DUNLOP SERIES – IPSWICH SATURDAY WRAP
Cameron Waters has continued his strong form on Saturday at the Ipswich SuperSprint after taking out pole position and race one of the round. Waters lead the race from start to finish over Jack Le Brocq, and won by a margin of 1.6 seconds. Waters will look to repeat today's performance in tomorrow's two 19-lap races.

"I was really happy. Qualifying went well, we did like the same time as yesterday. I thought I was going to be a little bit quicker to be honest but we still got on pole which was good. During the race I just wanted to make sure I got to the first corner first and then from that point on I just made sure I looked after the tyre and had tyre for the rest of the race and that set me up well for the next two tomorrow."
