Saturday sweep for frosty and Chaz

Frosty wins race 11

Pepsi Max Crew duo Mark Winterbottom and Chaz Mostert have claimed a clean-sweep of poles and race wins on Saturday at the Winton SuperSprint with Chaz locking out the top spot in both qualifying sessions along with the opening race while Frosty claimed the second.
The pair were dominant in their respective wins with Chaz holding off his team-mate before Frosty’s superior jump from the line allowed him to lead from start-to-finish in the latter 60-kilometre sprint.
The second race also saw the team lockout the front row with stable-mate David Reynolds qualifying third.

Mark Winterbottom - #5 Pepsi Max PRA Ford:
Race 1 Quali: 3rd
Race 1 Result: 2nd
Race 2 Quali: 2nd
Race 2 Result: 1st
"Everything is going well. We didn’t have the best practice and our set-up wasn’t right but we started adopting Chaz’s settings bit by bit and that obviously paid off in the final race. The big thing is the car is making sense, all the changes we do are working. We are qualifying well and that translates to high. Chaz is doing a great job over one lap and that drag us all forward. Any win is a great win and it was great for the whole team to enjoy such a successful day.”
Chaz Mostert - #6 Pepsi Max PRA Ford:
Race 1 Quali: 1st
Race 1 Result: 1st
Race 2 Quali: 1st
Race 2 Result: 3rd
"It was a great day for the team today and two poles, a win and a podium is never a bad day. My start wasn’t the best in the second race but Mark has finally adopted my set-up and it clearly paid off so I’m glad he finally listened to me! To get two cars on the podium in both races is great but we’re still chasing that elusive 1-2-3 result which we were so close to today. We need to get everything in order overnight as we really want to win on Sunday and complete the weekend.”
Tim Edwards – Team Principal
"It was another great Saturday for the team and to replicate our Perth Saturday of two poles and two wins was a real credit to the team. Chaz has really come into his own over one lap and today was an impressive display in far from easy conditions. He finally got a start right and converted it to a win which was pleasing. Mark was consistent as always and Dave is improving each event he spends in the FG X. We need to carry our form into Sunday and finish the weekend off the way we’ve started it.”
