Clipsal turns up the heat

27 February 2015

Frosty qualifies 12th and 10th.

Pepsi Max Crew has continued its learning curve with the new FG X as the team completed its first qualifying session in the Adelaide heat.
After impressing at the Sydney SuperTest, Chaz Mostert has come out firing at the Adelaide street circuit, qualifying fourth and ninth for the first two races on Saturday.
Alongside his team-mate, Mark Winterbottom wants a number of small changes to be made to his car setup after finishing just outside the top 10 in both sessions.
Heat will continue to be a contributing factor across the weekend, with temperatures soaring high into the 30s.

Race 1 Quali: 12th
Race 2 Quali: 10th
“I'm struggling a little bit. We are still learning I guess. I know the areas where we can fix it but we'll try and get stuck into practice tomorrow. It's only the little bits that we need to fix but it adds up to a lot. If we can get it we'll be okay but tomorrow morning practice we’ll use to test the changes but obviously we're a bit further down than I had hoped but it is what it is and we'll work hard to try and fix it and press on tomorrow and see what happens."

Race 1 Quali: 4th
Race 2 Quali: 9th
“Today has been pretty good. We've been in the top 10. I made an error in that second qualifying but I am really happy with the first session where we finished fourth. We've got a bit of work to do for our qualifying package around the Clipsal circuit and hopefully our race car will be okay. We'll see what we can do tomorrow. We've got two races and a practice tomorrow but I'm reasonably happy with the FG X's first hit out. We've got a lot to learn about it so we need to learn it quick."
Tim Edwards – Team Principal
“We are reasonably happy with how the day has gone. There is still a lot of work to do with the FG X, we are finding out new things about it every time we go out but we have seen some good results from it so far. We are in a good position going into the first two races of the season tomorrow so we'll come out firing and hopefully see some good results."
