The home of the Australian round of the Formula One World Championship since 1996, the 5.3 km Albert Park circuit is a public road during the year, but you couldn't find a more purpose built temporary racing circuit anywhere in the world. This can be traced to the circuit's origins as a Grand Prix track during the 60's, circling Melbourne's iconic Albert Park lake. With top speeds exceeding 250kph and a number hard braking tight turns, the circuit has a tendency to produce very good V8 Supercar races.

Pre-race report

17 March 2013

Racing for no championship points this weekend, we are using the new compound soft tyre at the AGP, in 4 by 12 lap races. The new tyre is slightly softer to last year so we will use this weekend as testing before we race again in Tasmania. I wont the GP last year and really enjoy racing at this street circuit.

Post-race report

17 March 2013

Weekend to forget starting with an unsafe pit lane release in race one which put us to the rear of the field was then followed by a number of issues in the next 3 races from on track from chaos in the rain to getting caught in other cars desperate moves at turn 1. Lucky this round was not for championship points.
