Raceway has made it an exciting venue for V8 Supercar racing. Featuring three fast straights blended with a quick chicane and some tight corners, Winton is a highly technical circuit that gives V8 Supercar team engineers and drivers a lot more to think about each year to maximise speed and suspension performance. The tight 3km layout allows excellent viewing from most parts of the circuit, while a new pit area has made it a far more user friendly circuit in recent years.

Pre-race report

14 November 2012

Time to head to winton, after a few average results we are hoping to get back on track at our home track. We are almost 300 points behind the championship leader and with only 4 races left and 600 points up for grabs he is in the box seat. We are focused on winning races and finishing the season off on a high and we all know it is not over until the last lap on Sunday at homebush.

Post-race report

Congratulations to Jamie on the title, incredible speed all year and after a race like today going from 22nd to 3rd he deserves to wrap the Championship up. I finished 4th yesterday after being short filled in my pit stop and only just making it over the line and 2nd today, we had pace to challenge for the win but something failed in the steering early in the race and i got slower and slower, FPR guys will check it out this week. Off to Homebush for the final race in two weeks, we want to finish on a high and have some great results for the FPR team.
