The most famous racing circuit in Australia and the home of one of the world's greatest motor races - which is of course our grueling, six and a half hour and 1000 kilometre long test of man and machine at the amazing 6.2km Mount Panorama circuit. The fastest of all V8 Supercar circuits, with cars reaching close to 300kph along Conrod Straight, the Bathurst circuit has it all, from a tight and twisting climb to the top of the mountain, to a fast flip-flop ride down that rewards bravery behind the wheel. This circuit is without a doubt a complex engineering exercise to get the cars absolutely right for, considering that two drivers need to be comfortable with the car set up. I came to within 13 laps of winning it in 2007...

Pre-race report

7 October 2011

The biggest race of the year is finally here, off to Bathurst, doing our annual road trip up from Melbourne and staying with the other FPR drivers for the week. We are putting everything we have got in to this weekend, we have nothing to lose and i'm excited to be racing with Richo on the mountain.

Post-race report

9 October 2011

What a race, we started 10th, Richo stalled and went back to 17th at the start, we worked our way back up to the front and were looking good for a podium until Whincup had a battery problem and was starting and stopping on the track, which brought out a safety car, he got going just before me and the rule is you cant pass anyone under safety car, finally race control called that i could pass him, but it was too late as it gave 4 cars a huge advantage, so i went from 2nd to 6th and was not able to pass easily after that as my rear tyres went away. This is why Bathurst is the one race everyone wants to win, it throws everything at you!
