Pre-race report

12 April 2010

Our final international race for 2010, Hamilton NZ is a tough round, the kerbs are aggressive, the cars run up to the concrete walls and the chicane on the back straight i refer to as the suspension breaker due to the harshness of the ripple strip. So the goal is to be smooth, fast and keep my ford up the front of the pack.

Post-race report

18 April 2010

That didn’t go to plan! We didn’t have the pace of the front runners this weekend, which saw me qualify 10th both days. I had an ordinary shout out lap on Saturday, we finished 7th in the race, which was all the car was capable of. We lost out massively in both pit stops on Sunday, there were cars almost stopping in the lane, holding everyone up and in my second stop i lost 5 seconds due to confusion about whether we were doing 2 or 4 tyres. We suffered from a number of issues with our car this weekend, so we will go away and work harder to bounce back up to the front and compete to win races.
