Grand Plans from Albert Park

Frosty finished the fourth-and-final race of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix event with minimal dramas following an intense four days of racing.

Frosty and Cam finished the fourth-and-final race of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix event with minimal dramas following an intense four days of racing.

Defending round champion Frosty was taken out of contention of the first lap of the first race on Friday and since then used the non-championship event to recover to 12th overall and learn as much as possible heading into Tasmania in two weeks.

Cam was pleased with the performance of his car and finished only one place behind his championship-winning team-mate.

Mark Winterbottom - #1 The Bottle-O PRA Ford:
Race 4:
11th
Event: 12th
"Once you’re back in the pack here there isn’t much passing but to go from last to 11th today was good to see. Our speed is there, but we need to improve our tyre life. We have a direction and coming out of the weekend as we did we’ve learnt a lot. The results on paper don’t look great but the event wasn’t too bad and if we hadn’t been crashed out of the first race I think it would’ve been a different story.”

Cameron Waters - #6 Monster Energy PRA Ford:
Race 4:
14th
Event: 13th
"It was actually a really good event as with no pressure on I could try a few things with the car and my driving. I think the time in the car has helped me a lot. I’ve learnt a few things and hopefully we can take that to Tasmania and build on it.”

Tim Edwards – Team Principal:
"A straight forward day which was what we all wanted and each of the four drivers leave the event with some things to work on and some important information. On paper it doesn’t look like we had a great event and while it was below our expectations, we’re well-placed heading to the resumption of the championship battle in Tasmania after Easter.”
