Frosty tries an alternate strategy to finish 5th

Prodrive Racing Australia takes yet another podium at the Tyrepower Tasmania SuperSprint as Chaz Mostert claims second place in race six.
After starting in sixth, strategy and fast pit stops proved beneficial for the young driver who was able to stay up the front for most of the race.
Team-mate Mark Winterbottom made his way up to fifth after starting ninth, stating his car has improved vastly across the weekend.
The team will appear next in Perth after a month long break throughout April.
DRIVERS’ VIEW
Mark Winterbottom - #5 Pepsi Max PRA Ford:
Qualifying Race 6: 9th
Result Race 6: 5th
“Today was okay. Starting on the hard tyres made it pretty hard so the main aim was to stay out of trouble and manage the tyres to be able to come home, especially after 64 laps on one set of tyres. Other people had a chance to let their tyres cool down where we had them hot the whole time. It was hard work but fifth was pretty good and the car actually felt a bit better and we finally made some progress. The main thing for us is qualifying a bit better so that was definitely the weakness of the day but overall fifth was still a good result."
Chaz Mostert - #6 Pepsi Max PRA Ford:
Qualifying Race 6: 6th
Result Race 6: 2nd
“The car was really good on the soft tyres. The hard tyre led us down a garden path a bit but with the soft tyre on, the car was a rocket ship so I think we had a good call with strategy. We ran a bit longer on softs and that poked us back out up the front. It was a bit of a shame not to have Adam (de Borre) here with us but he has been watching from home and calling after every session so it's been a lot like he was here. To get back up on the podium was great, it's always fantastic to get points on the board so I am slowly making my way back up but there is still work to be done. We want to be consistent so that's the aim."
Tim Edwards – Team Principal:
“To get two second place finishes for the weekend was great. We want to be consistent and we are doing that. Mark also had a great result to be able to get up to fifth. The cars were very different compared to what they were at the Grand Prix but we are getting there."
