Another frosty freeze out beats the heat

Frosty wins ahead of Chaz

The Pepsi Max Crew has continued its domination of the 2015 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix with Mark Winterbottom and Chaz Mostert taking a commanding 1-2 in the penultimate race of the event.

The pair recorded their third-straight lockout of the top two places, with Frosty leading from the first turn.
Chaz dropped to fourth at turn one, but was back to third by the third corner and leapt to second soon after with a slick pass on Shane van Gisbergen.
He closed the gap considerably on his team-mate to ensure the pair were well-clear of the chasing pack.

DRIVERS’ VIEW
Mark Winterbottom - #5 Pepsi Max PRA Ford:
Race 3 Result: 1st
"We made some changes to the car and it was a little bit of hard work but it is nice to have complaints about it when we are that competitive. Chaz was really quick, he had a different tyre strategy to me, but irrespective he was very quick and pushed on. He left his headlights on and I saw him coming so I knew he was there. He turned them off with a lap to go and we cruised on home. It is another good result for the team and it is great to have done it in qualifying and the three races so far.”
Chaz Mostert - #6 Pepsi Max PRA Ford:
Race 3 Result: 2nd
"I didn’t get the best start. I got some wheel spin and slotted back to fourth at turn two. I got back around James (Courtney) on the outside and then tried my hardest to chase down Shane (van Gisbergen). I got on him pretty quick and then pressured him into a mistake. The car is hooked up; we have a great braking platform, though the heat was a factor. If the heat is the same tomorrow we’ll need to make some adjustments but all-in-all things are good. If we can get up on the event podium tomorrow in a 1-2 position that would be fantastic.”

Tim Edwards – Team Principal
“Another day, another strong result, although Chaz had to work a little harder today. The biggest thing for me is that our race pace has been consistent and we’ve had little or no drop off in lap time relative to our competitors so that’s a big positive. We’d like to seal a clean-sweep tomorrow and head into Tasmania full of confidence.”
