Monroe Safety Ambassador Returns for 2015

3 February 2015

V8 Supercar driver Mark “Frosty” Winterbottom continues his important role as Monroe Safety Ambassador in 2015, his sixth year with Australia’s market leader in ride performance products.

Monroe Australia is delighted to confirm that one of Australia’s most popular sports stars enters his sixth consecutive season as Monroe Safety Ambassador this year.

Prodrive Racing Australia V8 Supercar driver Mark “Frosty” Winterbottom will be promoting the Monroe shock absorbers road safety message throughout the 14 event 2015 V8 Supercar Championship Series. The now familiar large frontal Monroe logo placement on Mark’s most important safety equipment item, his helmet, will once again take centre stage during what is sure to be an extremely competitive motor racing season.

As Monroe Safety Ambassador, Mark Winterbottom also plays an integral part in the promoting the Monroe Safety Specialist program. This highly effective program directly aligns automotive repairers, suspension specialists and re-sellers with Monroe’s major national marketing campaign.

Winterbottom’s national recognition also makes the popular V8 Supercar driver a highly effective ambassador for Fatality Free Friday, the national community based road safety awareness program for which Monroe shock absorbers is a proud long term sponsor.

Winterbottom raced to third in the 2014 V8 Supercar Championship, highlighted by four race victories and twelve podium finishes, keeping his remarkable top three Championship finishing record unbroken for the past nine consecutive seasons. He remains one of the most consistent performers in the V8 Supercar field, who is set for an even stronger season in 2015 as he hits the track with a brand new Ford Falcon FG-X V8 Supercar.

According to Monroe Australia Aftermarket Director, Roger Lassen, “Our continued partnership and association with Mark emulates the consistency of message that can be expected from Monroe, with a strong focus on promoting our advanced ride performance technology and product offerings to achieve positive outcomes in vehicle road safety. We are both fortunate and pleased that road safety is also a top of mind concern for our brand ambassador. Long term partnerships and focus are not an unusual occurrence with Monroe and this one, in particular,  simply confirms our commitment to supporting our customers efforts in promoting the right vehicle safety products for their customers’ needs.”

Mark Winterbottom looks forward to another successful year with Monroe shock absorbers both on and off the track, “It is great to be flying the flag for Monroe shock absorbers for a sixth season. Aside from being an ambassador for one of the world’s best known and trusted automotive product brands, Monroe’s constant efforts to promote road safety align perfectly with what I use my profile in the sport to promote.”

The 2015 V8 Supercar Championship season gets underway at the Clipsal 500 in the home city of Monroe Australia’s local manufacturing operations, Adelaide, from February 27 to March 1.
