Frosty quickest in practice and Qualifying

- Frosty sets fastest ever lap by a V8 Supercar around Adelaide Parklands during first qualifying

- Will Davison will start from 3rd on the grid for tomorrow's 78 lap race

- Frosty fastest in Practice 3 and 4 and in provisional qualifying

Orrcon Steel Racing has put in a solid performance on the opening day of V8 Supercars action for the 2012 season here at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.

Mark 'Frosty' Winterbottom finished both afternoon practice sessions for all 28 drivers with the fastest times followed by provisional pole in the initial qualifying session this afternoon which was also the fastest lap ever set around Adelaide Parklands by a V8 Supercar.

Teammate Will Davison also produced spectacular speed to finish inside the top-3 for all sessions including the Top-10 Shootout, meaning he will start race 1 tomorrow on the second row of the grid, with a p3 finish. Unfortunately teammate Frosty had a less than perfect shootout lap and will start seventh on the grid for tomorrow's race.

"It was a good day all round," commented Davison.

"Our cars have proven to be strong here right from the word go and we have a long race tomorrow so I'm confident in my driving, car and team that we can achieve big results."

Tomorrow's action commences with a 20 minute warm up at 9.05am before teams hit the track at 14.35 for a 78 lap showdown around the streets of Adelaide.
