Pre-race report

14 November 2010

Off to Tasmania with 3 rounds left, we were hoping to be closer than what we are to the lead of the championship, our aim is to win races and see where we end up. Our car is getting stronger and stronger as the season goes on and i'm excited about our form.

Post-race report

14 November 2010

Suffered from under steer in practice, had a long debrief with Campbell and made a number of changes overnight, our qualifying car was much better putting us in 2nd position for the shootout. I struggled with getting tyre temp up and didn't have enough car response over one lap, putting us on 3rd for the start grid. The entire field used soft tyres for the race, cross swapping them during the pit stop, I expected my tyre temp to be up quicker than what it was after our stop and ran wide going from position 3 to 5 and that is where i finished. The rain set in on Sunday and it was the first qualifying session i can remember doing in the rain, my strategy was to take it easy and get heat in to the tyres then have a good go at doing some quick times, this worked at we got pole position. Race started wet and although i lost the start the car was the fastest car i have ever driven in the wet and we were back in the lead on lap 1, we lead the entire race with 4 safety cars and two pit stops although i struggled with under steer in the dry part of the race with Paul Dumbrell and Jason Bright pushing me the entire way. Great victory for the team, and 1-2.
