Raceway has made it an exciting venue for V8 Supercar racing. Featuring three fast straights blended with a quick chicane and some tight corners, Winton is a highly technical circuit that gives V8 Supercar team engineers and drivers a lot more to think about each year to maximise speed and suspension performance. The tight 3km layout allows excellent viewing from most parts of the circuit, while a new pit area has made it a far more user friendly circuit in recent years.

What better round to get the championship back on track than our home test track. Testing at Winton earlier this year went well and I feel we have made massive improvements to the car since then. The introduction of the new soft tyre will play a big part to success this weekend, having the soft tyre on at the right time will be key as it is expected to be 2 seconds a lap quicker, but will last no more than 20 laps.
Melbourne has turned winter just in time for Winton Round 3 so track temperature will be low.

Great to have a podium today, and finish a race at the pointy end. I was hoping for two good races this weekend, but it wasn't to be when i got hit by Bright and Tander which put a slit in my tyre in race 1. We will push on and try to get some consistent results here on. We get to use soft tyres again in Tasmania which will provide more good racing.
