Pre-race report

30 November -0001

This is my favorite time of the year, the endurance races. I think the new format is fantastic, Richo and I both play a big part, qualifying and racing on Saturday before the big race on Sunday. We have had two test days during the break and feel we have found a little bit more speed. The 6 week break has been great but I am so glad there is a race this weekend, I cant wait. Melbourne has been putting on some beautiful days, so hopefully the weekend weather will be kind to us at Phillip Island.

Post-race report

30 November -0001

Richo and I had good car speed in practice and qualifying, our strategy didn't go to plan in the short races which saw us start the main race from 12th position. I had a great launch off the line passing 4 cars on my first lap, I pitted for tyres and fuel on lap 20 with the aim to do fast lap times with clear track, which put the car in 2nd position for Richo to jump in. Safety cars and weather then played havoc with us, the passing shower produced more rain than predicted, Richo did a great job on slick tyres in those conditions to bring us home in 4th position. It could have been a lot worse and it may have been better, we are still in the fight and that is the main thing.
